Below are the Terms and Conditions (T&C’s) that apply when using our website and our services. Any new features and/or services to our current service shall also be subject to these T&C’s. By accessing, browsing and using our website, you acknowledge and agree to have read, understood and agreed to the terms and conditions set out below.

 

Definitions

“Meet The Locals”, “us”, “we” or “our” means Meetthelocalsuae.com, a limited liability company incorporated under the laws of the UAE.

“Platform” means the website on which the Service is made available owned, controlled, managed, maintained and/or hosted by Meetthelocalsuae.com.

“Service” means the online reservation service (including the facilitation of payments) of various products and services as from time to time made available by Suppliers on the Platform.

“Supplier” means the provider of attractions, museums, transfers, tour operators, insurances, and any other travel or related product or service as from time to time available for reservation on the Platform.

  1. Our offering

We provide you an authentic Emirati experience with locals.

Meet The Locals is registered under the name of Cultures Tour guiding Services LLC under Department of Economic and Development provided for travelers and UAE residence seeking to engage with locals all over the UAE to offer them the most outstanding eat experiences, tours and activities. Through our website, travelers can book eat experiences, tours and activities with local hosts all over the UAE.

By making a reservation through our platform, you enter into a direct contractual relationship with the host with whom you make a reservation or purchase a product or service (as applicable). From the point at which you make a reservation, Meet The Locals acts solely as an intermediary between you and the host. Meet The Locals is not a party to any agreement between you and the host and is not liable for any (attributable) failure to perform or other damages arising out of this relationship.

  1. Legal entity

We are a private company registered in Dubai.

Cultures Tour guiding Services LLC is a Limited Liability company, commercial License having its office in Dubai, AL Qusis 2 Villa 26. We are registered with the Department of Economic Development under number 785277.

United Arab of Emirates is our country of domicile.

  1. Applicability of T&C’s

When you visit our website and/or use our services you agree with these T&C’s.

You must read these T&C’s before using our website and/or services. Use of our website and/or services, regardless of whether you are a website visitor, a traveler or a host, constitutes an agreement to all terms and conditions in these T&C’s and you warrant that you understand, agree to and accept all terms and conditions contained here.

The T&C’s may be amended from time to time. We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify or replace these Terms at any time.

  1. Privacy policy

We respect your privacy.

We respect your privacy and are committed to protect the information you share with us. We believe that you have a right to know our practices regarding the information we collect when you visit our website or use our services.

  1. Reservations

You make a reservation on our website, we handle the rest.

The prices on our Platform are highly competitive. We want you to pay the lowest price possible for your product and service of choice. All special offers and promotions are marked as such.

When a reservation is made by you on our website, we deliver the reservation to the respective host.

  1. Payments

You pay us the full amount when the booking is made.

Payment is safely processed from your credit/debit card or bank account to the bank account of the Supplier through a third-party payment processor.

Company may use third party electronic payment processors and/or financial institutions (“ESPs”) to process financial transactions. You irrevocably authorize us, as necessary, to instruct such ESPs to handle such transaction and you irrevocably agree that Company may give such instructions on your behalf in accordance with your requests as submitted on the Site. You agree to be bound by the terms and conditions of use of each applicable ESP, and in the event or conflict between these Terms and the ESP’s terms and conditions then these Terms shall prevail.

Full payment in advance:
When making a reservation, it is mandatory to pay the full amount in advance.

Partial payment in advance:
In some cases, you will be asked to pay a share of the full amount upfront, as stated on our website. In this case, the remaining unpaid share has to be paid by the traveler to the host directly after the reserved event has taken place in a satisfactory manner.

All credit/debit cards detail and personally identifiable information will NOT be stored, sold, shared, rented or leased to any third parties. 

The Website Policies and Terms & Conditions may be changed or updated occasionally to meet the requirements and standards. Therefore, the Customers’ are encouraged to frequently visit these sections in order to be updated about the changes on the website. Modifications will be effective on the day they are posted.

Any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with this website shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of UAE.

Minors under the age of 18 shall are prohibited to register as a User of this website and are not allowed to transact or use the website.

If you make a payment for our products or services on our website, the details you are asked to submit will be provided directly to our payment provider via a secured connection. 

The cardholder must retain a copy of transaction records and Merchant policies and rules.

We accept payments online using Visa and MasterCard credit/debit card in AED (or any other agreed currency).

“meetthelocalsuae.com” will NOT deal or provide any services or products to any of OFAC (Office of Foreign Assets Control) sanctions countries in accordance with the law of UAE.

Multiple transactions may result in multiple postings to the cardholder’s monthly statement.

  1. Cancellations

By making a reservation with Meet the Locals, you accept and agree to the relevant cancellation and no-show policy.

We wouldn’t wish it to anybody, but what if you find yourself in a situation of cancelling an amazing Meet The Locals experience, Please read below for a full overview of our cancellation policy.

Cancelation within 72 hours will be 100% refunded within 30days from cancelation.

Cancelation within 48 hours or less will give 50% refund within 30days from cancelation.

Cancelation within 24 hours or less will be not refundable.

Refunds will be done only through the Original Mode of Payment.

  1. Proprietary Material

Don’t copy our content.

You may use the Site only for purposes expressly permitted by the Site. You may not use the Site for any other purpose, including any other commercial purpose, without Company’s express prior written consent. For example, you may not (and may not authorize any other party to) co-brand the Site or frame the Site without the express prior written permission of an authorized representative of Company.

All text, graphics, editorial content, data, formatting, graphs, designs, HTML, look and feel, photographs, music, sounds, images, software, videos, designs, typefaces and other content (collectively “Proprietary Material”) that you see or read on this website is owned by us, or is used with the owner’s permission. This Proprietary Material is protected in all forms, media and technologies. You may not copy, download, use redesign, reconfigure, or retransmit anything from this website without our prior written permission.

  1. Quality of information

While we do our utmost best to verify the quality of the events hosted by our hosts, we cannot guarantee these are flawless and neither can we guarantee that all content on our website is without errors.

In the event of misleading representation or misconduct on our website or in the framework of the events held by hosts through our website and/or services, we may decide, in our sole discretion, to credit the traveler with a refund for the reservation amount paid or part thereof and charge the host with this amount. No action of us may be construed as accepting any liability other than as mentioned herein.

When rendering our service, the information we disclose is based on the information provided to us by the hosts. Although we will use reasonable skill and care in performing our service and verify (most of) the hosts we cannot guarantee that all information is accurate, complete and/or correct. Each host remains responsible at all times for the accuracy, completeness and correctness of the (descriptive) information displayed on our platform. 

Understand that we cannot and do not guarantee or warrant that files available for downloading from the Internet will be free of viruses, worms, Trojan horses or other code that may manifest contaminating or destructive properties. You are responsible for implementing sufficient procedures and checkpoints to satisfy your particular requirements for accuracy of data input and output, and for maintaining a means external to the Site for the reconstruction of any lost data. We do not assume any responsibility or risk for your use of the Internet.

  1. Warranties

We don’t give any warranties.

We do not warrant that our website and/or our services will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may correct, modify, amend, enhance, improve and make any other changes to our website and our services at any time or discontinue displaying or providing any content or features without a notice to you, being a website visitor, a traveler or a host. 

  1. Disclaimer

We do our very best to make sure all the information we provide you is 100% correct. However, as we are human beings too, errors are made.

We hereby disclaim all warranties and conditions with regard to the use of our website and/or services, including, but not limited to, the availability, reliability, or quality of our website and services, the events distributed through us, including the nature and quality of the events, and is not and shall not be responsible for any error, fault or mistake of any and all content and information received through us.

  1. Liability

Meet The Locals responsibility is limited to facilitating the availability of our website, application and services. The participation in any of the events hosted by the hosts is at your own risk. Meet The Locals’ liability for damages shall be limited to the amount paid to us, by you as a traveler. Except as provided herein, in no event shall we be liable for any indirect, special, incidental or consequential damages of any kind, whether in an action of contract, negligence or other tortious actions resulting from or arising out of participation in any of the events hosted by the hosts.

IF YOU ARE DISSATISFIED WITH US, THE SITE, OUR SERVICES, OR THESE TERMS, YOUR SOLE AND EXCLUSIVE REMEDY IS TO DISCONTINUE YOUR USE OF THE SITE AND OUR SERVICES.

  1. Issues and Complaints

We’ll assist you in case of issues or complaints where possible.

In case of a complaint about, or issue with the platform, app or services, please contact Meet The Locals at info@Meetthelocalsuae.com or +971509209247 to resolve the problem. In case of a complaint about an event you agree to contact Meet The Locals within 1 day after the complaint has arisen and you agree to cooperate with and assist Meet The Locals in good faith and you agree to provide Meet The Locals with such information and take such actions as may be requested by Meet The Locals. As a host you agree that in case of a no show or dissatisfactory deviations in the event caused by you, the guest will be refunded and you won’t receive payment. As a guest you understand that in case of a no show or no completion of/interruptions during the event caused by you, you as a guest are responsible for any damages up to the amount paid. 

Any claim or complaint against Meet The Locals in respect of the service must be promptly summited, but in any event within 14 days after the reserved event has taken place. Any claim or complaint that is summited after the 14 days period, may be rejected and the claimant shall forfeit its right to any (damage or cost) compensation.

To the extent permitted by law, these T&C’s and the provision of our services shall be governed by and construed in accordance with UAE law and any and all dispute arising out of these T&C’s and our services shall exclusively be summited to the competent Dubai Courts, United Arab Emirates.
